The Catholic Diocese of Columbus has updated its list of clergy accused of sexual abuse of a minor, to include several priests who were accused while serving outside of Central Ohio.

Eight more names were added to the diocese’s list of credibly accused clergy members, which has grown to nearly 50 people.

Father John Gamba is accused of sexual abuse of a minor at the Columbus Diocese.

Fathers Stuart Campbell, Joseph Herlihy, James Kilkenny, Thomas McCarthy, Joseph McGuiness and Robert Pelkington were added as clergy members who are accused of sexual abuse of a minor at other diocese. They served in Columbus as well.

Msgr. Robert Brown was already on the list for sexual abuse of a minor while working elsewhere. New information alleges he also abused a child in Steubenville while serving at the Columbus diocese.

The original list of 36 names was released in March.
