West Palm Beach - Another chabad apparently is having financial difficulty.

The owner of a shopping center on Kimberly Boulevard where Chabad Lubavitch of Boca Raton meets filed an eviction lawsuit in Palm Beach County Circuit Court last week, claiming the Orthodox Jewish congregation owes it roughly $106,000 in rent going back to 2009.

No one from the chabad, which also has a center on Military Trail, returned a phone call for comment.

In the last 18 months, Chabad-Lubavitch of Boynton Beach and Chabad House Lubavitch of Palm Beach, in North Palm Beach, filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

Donations the centers rely on have nosedived with the recession, leaders have said.
