A members of the Helidon Magnificat Meal Movement cult has been held in custody in the Toowoomba watch-house for two nights after being charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstructing police.

Police allege Christina Marie Delahunty, 39, did not pull over when directed by police at a traffic operation on the Warrego Highway at Withcott and a police officer had to jump clear of her car.

Delahunty was allegedly pursued to Margaret St in Toowoomba where she refused to get out of her car.

She was later taken into custody.

Delahunty refused to take legal advice from a duty solicitor yesterday and represented herself in a brief appearance in Toowoomba Magistrate's Court.

She refused to acknowledge her name and claimed that she did not consent to the jurisdiction of the court.

Magistrate Bruce Schemioneck said he would not waste the court's time and remanded Delahunty in custody for a second night.

He asked that Delahunty be examined by the Government Medical Officer to determine her mental capacity and remanded her to appear in court again today.
