New Hampshire neo-Nazi indicted for threatening messages

Keene, New Hampshire — A New Hampshire man, well-known for his role in a demonstration that ended with a deadly attack in Virginia in 2017, has been arrested by federal agents and indicted on charges he made threats via text message.
The Boston office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Thursday morning Christopher Cantwell had been arrested for extortion and threats.
According to an indictment, Cantwell allegedly sent a message through the Telegram app saying, “So if you don’t want me to come and f*ck your wife in front of your kids, then you should make yourself scarce[.] Give me Vic, it’s your only out.”
The self-professed white nationalist gained notoriety in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 11-12, 2017 when he participated in the “Unite the Right” rally, which resulted in 11 arrests and one death.
Heather Heyer was killed when a man drove his car through a crowd of counter-protesters on August 12.
Cantwell was prominently featured in a Vice documentary filmed during the Unite the Right rally.
