Colorado City, Arizona -- Monday in Colorado City, Ariz., a 14-year-old boy died while driving a forklift. The boy’s body is currently at the Office of the Medical Examiner in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident, Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson said. A team from Arizona Child Protective Services is also investigating the death.

Joni Holm, who heard about the accident from some family members in Colorado City, told St. George News that the boy was working at some type of construction site operating the forklift. He was on the forklift and it started to tip. He jumped out thinking it would save his life but it tipped over on him, Holm said.
