Helena -- Thomas Sliwinski of Helena, on the run from the law for more than a decade, was back in court on Thursday.
Sliwinski pleaded not guilty to felony bail-jumping in Judge Deeann Cooney’s court.
Sliwinski was convicted in 2003 for having sex with his step-daughter; the admitted polygamist allegedly failed to make a court date back in 2004.
He was then arrested in Mexico in October of 2015.
At the time of his prosecution in 2003, Sliwinski reportedly was living in a remote area between Helena and Great Falls where he was “married” to three women.
He faces charges for failing to registered as a sex offender and for evidence-tampering, as well as a petition to revoke a 10-year suspended sentence on the sex charge.
His trial for bail jumping has been set for May 2nd.
