White supremacist named Enemy No. 1

Police have named a white supremacist gang member as Public Enemy No. 1.

Jeffery Alsop, 26, is a member of the Soldiers of the Aryan Cult gang and is wanted on a no-bail fugitive warrant. A convicted felon, Alsop's criminal history includes an arrest for aggravated assault as well as numerous drug arrests, according to the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit.

Alsop is described as a white male, 5-foot-7, 140 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He has several tattoos on his head, arms and legs, as well as a swastika tattoo on his abdomen, a lizard and skull on his right arm, a dragon on his left leg and a cross on his left hand.

Anyone with information on Alsop's whereabouts is asked to call the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit office during business hours at 743-5864. Calls during non-business hours can be directed to 743-7000. Calls are anonymous. Anyone wishing to speak with a Spanish-speaking officer can call detective L. Argueta at 743-5867 or detective E. Jensen at 743-5814.
