Realtor Roger Molenaar of Prudential Preferred Realtors said Narconon Stone Hawk, at 216 and 218 St. Mary's Lake Road, has been listed online for a couple weeks.

On Thursday, he said no prospective buyers have inquired yet about the buildings.

"We're just getting the marketing out to different corporations because it would be ideal for corporation or church retreats," Molenaar said. "It would lend itself to something like a condo development."

Narconon Stone Hawk and Narconon Stone Hawk East are private-pay drug and alcohol residential treatment programs with property on St. Mary's Lake in Pennfield Township and at the former Trillium Hospital in Albion, respectively. Treatment methods include sauna detoxification, exercise, vitamin regimes and classroom education on books written by L. Ron Hubbard, the father of Scientology.

Narconon Stone Hawk Marketing Director Per Wickstrom said more than 80 residents in treatment still occupy the St. Mary's Lake facility and no one is in the Albion facility.

They had been scheduled to move into the Albion facility by the end of April. But because an air conditioner needed to be replaced there, they are not expected to move in until the beginning of July, Wickstrom said.

"We're going to be able to service our students so much better there," Wickstrom said. "The facility has just been redone."

The property is listed in average condition "mainly because it needs paint and that type of thing," Molenaar said.

In April, Wickstrom said patients were to be moved so that the St. Mary's Lake property could be repaired, including a boiler replacement, new carpet and tile.
