Clash in Ananda Margi headquarters, many hurt

Many people are feared injured in a clash between two groups of Ananda Margis on Tuesday at Anand Nagar, global headquarters of the organisation in West Bengal's Purulia district.

The clash between the Bengali and Bihari Margis groups occurred over the control of the sect's headquarters, District Magistrate BP Gopalika said.

The clash occurred this morning when around 150 Bengali Margis tried to enter the headquarters and were prevented by the security guards, Gopalika said.

This led to a clash between the two groups in which many people got injured, he said, adding police forces have been rushed to the spot.
