The alleged leader of the cult-like Zizian group was indicted by a grand jury on a new weapons charge this week.

The Zizians have been linked to multiple killings across the country, including the shooting death of Border Patrol agent David Maland in Vermont earlier this year.

Jack LaSota, who is also known as Ziz, was indicted last week for illegal firearm and ammunition possession.

Federal court documents allege that LaSota was in possession of a .50-caliber rifle and a handgun as well as more than 450 rounds of ammunition.

LaSota, along with suspected Zizians Daniel Blank and Michelle Zajko, were arrested in Maryland back in February. They have all pleaded not guilty to trespassing and illegal possession charges.

Zajko is accused of providing the gun used to kill Agent Maland in Coventry, Vermont in January.

The accused shooter, Teresa Youngblut, is also facing federal weapons charges connected to the fatal shooting. In addition to Maland's death, the group has been linked to killings in Pennsylvania and California.
