One Spouse's Story

June 1998

Once upon a timethere was a happy couple who had been married several years and while they did not have much they had each other and one child. They were a typical American family. They went to work, ate dinner together and even went on wonderful vacations.

Then one day a huge BEAST entered their lives. The beast's name was THE SYSTEM--first it stole the happy couple's money, just a little at a time until it was gone. There were IMPORTANT tapes to buy and books too--that were also IMPORTANT. They stopped reading most books outside THE SYSTEM--because they were negative.

Nothing major seemed to happen at first--yet..little changes started to occur like leaving their child with a Sitter because children could be a distraction from working and learning THE SYSTEM. Then the couple would show this plan six nights a week--on the seventh they would make follow-up calls. Before they even realized it the BEAST had stolen almost all their time, money, and relationships with family, friends--almost everyone.

And it seemed that this story would never end--because the couple knew if they quit--they would be losers. And if you lose you are NEGATIVE (that's what they learned in THE SYSTEM ). So the BEAST destroyed their home, which they lost--but they never missed a BEASTLY function. And the BEAST destroyed their relationship too--but they never stopped demonstrating "loyalty to the products" of the BEAST.
