Pronouncement of Judgement Criminal Minute Order -8a June 26, 1995

This document  reflects the final disposition in the criminal proceedings against Anton Hein for the crime of "lewd act upon a child a Felony, Counts I and II," committed upon his 13-year-old niece.   Anton Hein is the founder and person responsible for the websites Apologetics Index, Religion News Blog, Cult Experts.org and Cult FAQ. Hein is also the leader of a small group he calls a "house church" in Amsterdam.

Anton Hein is ordered to pay restitution of $1,000.00. Hein is sentenced to "365 days, in a San Bernardino County Jail facility, with credit for time served, a matter of nine (9) days." Hein must subsequently be under probation supervision for a period of three (3) years under the following terms and conditions:

"Report to the probation officer in person immediately and thereafter [completion of jail time] once every 14 days or as directed."

"Keep the probation officer informed of place of residence at all times and give written notice to the probation officer twenty-four (24) hours prior to moving."

"Submit to a search of his person, place of residence and/or other property under his control at any time of the day or night by any law enforcement officer, with our without a search warrant and with or without cause, except to the extent required by People vs. Bravo."

"When deemed necessary by the probation officer, obtain competent psychiatric or psychological care or other counseling program in a plan to be approved by the probation officer and submit monthly proof of attendance and/or successful completion to the probation officer as directed."

"Register his address with the appropriate city or country law enforcement agency pursuant to PC 290 [sex offender registration]."

"Not associate with females under the age of eighteen (18) except in the presence of a responsible adult who is aware of the nature of the defendant's background and current offense and who has been approved by the probation officer."
