World's Leading Entrepreneur & Social Enterprise Network Opens in Latin America

XL Results Foundation Opening in Mexico City with Support for The Hunger Project, Mexico

PR Newswire/June 11, 2007

XL Results Foundation, the world's leading entrepreneur and social enterprise network [sic], has announced that it will open its first Latin American office in Mexico City in mid July.

In its role as the leading global entrepreneur and social enterprise network [sic], the XL Group supports various nominated causes -- either through direct giving or working with its entrepreneur network -- as to how individuals and companies can most effectively give to nominated causes. XL Mexico will work closely with The Hunger Project.

The official XL Mexico opening date is 18th July. Following the Mexico City launch, XL plans to quickly open in Guadalajara and then in additional locations throughout the country.

Singapore based XL's move into Mexico is timely as Singapore and Mexico continue to share friendly and positive bilateral relations which are anchored on strong and expanding economic interests. In 2005, Mexico was Singapore's 3rd largest trading partner in Latin America and both countries are also partners in international multilateral fora. Both countries are members of the United Nations, International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum.

XL, which supports entrepreneurs globally, will be holding book launches and networking events throughout July and establishing a schedule of regular monthly events for Mexican entrepreneurs. The XL Mexico team will also hold the internationally acclaimed Wealth Dynamics Experience in January 2008. XL will also start searching for a suitable location and team to launch an XL Cafe during the first six months of operation. XL Cafes was launched in New Zealand in March of this year, operating as venues catering to entrepreneurs and professionals looking for a meeting place to connect with others both globally and locally.

XL Mexico will be managed by a truly international team with extensive experience. Carlos Rios is the past Trade Commissioner for Mexico in Singapore and still resides in Singapore. With his wife Sofia -- a corporate lawyer specialising in intellectual property, he will bring XL to Mexico with Irene Millar (Scottish) who heads up World Wide Wealth for the XL Group, and Abdul Rahim (Singaporean) who has an extensive background in security.

Given the serious problem of poverty within Mexico, XL will support The Hunger Project as Mexico focuses on the nationwide eradication of poverty. XL Mexico will donate 10% of its profits to The Hunger Project.

Carlos Rios commented "XL now has a presence in 15 countries worldwide and for the past six years has provided authoritative and effective support to entrepreneurs globally. Opening in Mexico will be of great benefit to the ever growing Mexican entrepreneur community"
