Ex-Minister Surrenders On Sex Charges
St. Louis Post Dispatch/September 25, 1992
An 82-year-old former minister surrendered Thursday to authorities in St.
Louis County, where he has been charged with molesting two girls.
The man, Thomas Jolly of Belleville, turned himself in at the jail in Clayton Thursday afternoon. He is charged with one count each of felony sex abuse and misdemeanor sex abuse.
Police allege that Jolly fondled one girl in the fall of 1987 when the girl was 9 years old. The other charge involves the fondling of a girl in 1975 and 1976. The victim in that case is now 24, police said.
Police say the incidents took place at a church in southwest St. Louis County.
Jolly was charged in warrants issued a week ago. His case is pending before a county grand jury.
