William Kamm, the leader of a NSW south coast Catholic sect, is due to appear in Nowra Local Court next month, after being excused from a court appearance this morning.
Kamm, also known as the "Little Pebble", is facing sexual assault charges.
The defence counsel for Kamm, 52, appeared in Nowra Local Court this morning on his behalf.
The case was adjourned until December 17.
In August this year, Kamm was arrested at the property where he was living with up to 100 of his followers.
He was charged with nine offences, including four counts of aggravated sexual assault, and four counts of aggravated indecent assault.
The alleged victims in those matters were 14 and 15-years-old at the time.
The charges came after the Catholic Church outlawed his Order of Saint Charbel sect and rejected his claims of supernatural visions.
