"I was in one of those early parachurch groups, which Jim McCotter led, way back in 1974-77. His remark that 'However, I am not remotely involved in any way, in any Church Movement, although I do go to church,' is disingenuous. He may not be now, but he once was. The little branch I was in did not survive; I left the group and my ex-husband remained. All the other marriages in our group broke up as well. The subservience of the women that was demanded was extreme, along with the other points mentioned in 'Just Who Is Jim McCotter?' But that's been almost 30 years and I survived."
