Two women whom Baltimore police and prosecutors are calling "persons of interest" in the disappearance of a toddler were ordered held without bail yesterday by a District Court judge.
Travia Williams, 20, and Queen Antoinette, 39, were arrested this month in Brooklyn, N.Y., on a warrant charging them with assault in an case unrelated to that of the missing child. A third person charged in the assault case, Marcus Cobbs, 21, is scheduled for a bail review today. He is also being called a "person of interest."
Police and prosecutors say the three are connected to the religious group 1 Mind Ministries, which operated for a time in East Baltimore.
Relatives of the missing boy have said they fear that human remains found in South Philadelphia are those of the child, whose mother was a member of the group and disappeared in 2006. The remains have not been identified.
"It doesn't even make sense," Queen Antoinette muttered at yesterday's hearing.
