Texas: Bigamy Charges Are Added

Two new indictments against members of a polygamist sect have added bigamy charges against men already accused of sexual assault of a child. The indictments, issued Thursday by a Schleicher County grand jury, name Michael G. Emack, 57, and Raymond M. Jessop, 36. Details about a third indictment issued Thursday were not released because it has not yet been served. The indictments against Mr. Emack and Mr. Jessop include few details of the accusations. A spokesman for the sect, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, did not return calls.
