The third round of inventory at Prashanti Nilayam, Sathya Sai Baba's ashram, which began at 10 am on Monday conluded on Tuesday.
Several articles, including idols, ornaments, materials used for worship and yagnams like lamps, pathrams, baskets et al being inventoried. About 1.579 kg of gold in the form of chains, "thali bottus" and coins, 1,161.85 kg of silver in the form of idols, dinnerware, poojaware, medallions, umbrellas, jhoolas, abhishekam vessels and five pieces of diamonds in the form of bracelets and brooches were found on Tuesday, besides Rs 36,87,211 in cash.
As on Monday night an estimated 34.5 kg of gold, 340 kg of silver in the form of the aforementioned articles were found. Also, cash to the extent of Rs 1,90,53,899 was inventoried.
Five rooms in the Poornachandra chambers, the Poornachandra Auditorium backstage and the backside of Sai Kulwanth Hall, the final resting place of Baba were the places inventoried. While sources in Prashanti Nilayam told Deccan Herald that this would be the last inventory in the ashram, offcial confirmation on the same could not be obtained.
Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust press co-ordinator Anantharaman, speaking from Puttaparthi said:?"We could conduct inventory in some other premises that the Baba lived," but did not commit on whether this was the last inventory at Prashanti Nilayam.
The second building of Yajur Mandir, Baba's personal chamber and four rooms of Poornachandra chambers were inventoried in the presence of the trustees, Ananthpur District Collector V Durgadas, Special Officer Venkatesam, Revenue Divisional Officer B R Eswar and Tahsildar D?Kodanda Rami Reddy, among other people. The officials from the Andhra Pradesh Government were invited by the trust to be present as observers.
The trust had found over Rs 11 crore in cash, 98 kg gold and huge quantities of silver and diamonds in Yajur Mandir on June 16. Later more gold, silver and Rs 76 lakh in cash was found on July 2.
The trust had, before the second inventory, maintained that the valuables found on June 16 was the last of the hidden treasures at Prashanti Nilayam but since then more has been found between the first week of July and now.
