Saratov -- The Saratov regional court on Friday announced a verdict for four skinheads who killed a Dagestani native, sentencing two of them to 13 years in a maximum security prison.

The defendants were charged with group murder motivated by ethnic hatred, a court official told Itar-Tass. Mikhail Krasnoshchyokov and Alexander Shevtsov were given 13 years imprisonment each.

Shevtsov was also found guilty of appropriation of the victim's property and keeping a weapon. Two other accomplices to the crime, who were under age, were sentenced to 5.5 years and 6 years in prison.

On June 15, a group of youngsters attacked Dhzavad Sheikhov, 39, a native of Dagestan who lived in Saratov. Sheikhov was returning home from work. He was hit on the head with a bottle, and then the attackers repeatedly stabbed him into the back and neck.

The man died on the scene before the ambulance arrived. He is survived by three children.
