I live in San Diego, California. I just wanted to thank you for this website, it was the only one I could find, that gave me the information I needed about Trek Alliance.
The other day, I got a phone call on my answering machine from "Pacific Alliance" (aka "Trek Alliance"). They found my resume on Monster.com, were very excited about my work experience and wanted to find out what I was looking for in my future career. I became very excited and called back a woman named "Jennifer."
Jennifer told me about her fast growing company called "Pacific Alliance" and how they had just opened an office and were planning on several more in the San Diego area. They were supposedly growing so fast they needed my help. She then set up a job "interview," which would consist of a "corporate overview." I agreed to be there today at 1 PM.
When I arrived I was surprised to find about 30 other prospective "interviewees," resumes in hand, all sitting together in a room down the hall from a very nice office in San Diego. I couldn't find Jennifer, the woman I was supposed to meet anywhere, but the receptionist told me that she would be meeting with me later and was very glad that I made it.
I smelled a rat when I saw all the products lined up on a table along with some framed magazine covers that I've never heard of.
I then was subjected to their "corporate overview" or presentation.
The first speaker I heard was going on and on about water filtration and how bad the water is in San Diego. She then told us about how much money she has made with "Trek Alliance." That speaker then introduced another speaker who "flew for miles just to talk with us today." This turned out to be the receptionist lady I had met at the door.
Their whole pitch was laid out, and then we were given a "break" before the next speaker would start. We were assured that if we were not interested, this same room would be filled with 30 more people tomorrow.
I couldn't get out of there fast enough. And thanks to your website I confirmed what that little voice inside my head was telling me.
I felt bad for all the people that took the time to get dressed up and prepare for this bogus "interview" experience. I later emailed Monster.com to let them know how their website was being abused by this company in San Diego.
