Holmes, Baxter on Scientology shopping spree

They both are married to devout Scientologist millionaires, but Katie Holmes and Erica Baxter had little else in common when they were spotted shopping in Berlin yesterday.

Holmes, 28, was the centre of paparazzi attention as she browsed the European city's high-end fashion stores wearing a stylish leather jacket and high heels.

Baxter, however, wore jeans and trainers and was all but ignored by the media pack fighting to get a shot of her companion Katie.

Their husbands Tom Cruise and James Packer were nowhere to be seen, but reports suggest they might have been together on the set of Cruise's new movie Valkyrie — which is being filmed elsewhere in Germany.

Cruise's religion Scientology has been in the spotlight following controversy over his desire to enter historic German military sites for the production of Valkyrie.

In the movie Cruise plays Claus von Stauffenberg, an upper-class German who tried to assassinate Adolph Hitler in 1944.
