Yogi Bhajan Speaks

Excerpts from a lecture by Yogi Bhajan, August 6, 1991

"There are 3 billion people who believe in the Bible. Very few believe in the Commandments and live by them. In the Bible there are Ten Commandments. They are commandments. They are not requests, they are not applications, they are not waiting for your answer. They say ‘Do this, this, this, this, this, this, this. Sometime read them, and figure out how much you live by them."
-- Yogi Bhajan

Yogi Bhajan speaks

"Each Commandment in the Bible is incomplete. The Ten Commandments were given, but not the Ten Promises of God. Every Commandment must bear fruit. That is why the Commandments are incomplete. You are told what to do, but not told what it will do for you".

  1. Thou shall have no other Gods before me.
"Thou shall conquer the earth, the Lord is Peace".
  2. Thou shall not take the Name of the Lord in vain.
    "Thou shall never be polluted".
  3. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
"Thou shall live in peace and rest".
  4. Honor thy father and mother.
    "Thy identity shall be perfect".
  5. Thou shall not kill.
    "Thou shall not be killed".
  6. Thou shall not commit adultery.
    "Thy purity shall be granted".
  7. Love thy neighbor.
"And the entire neighborhood shall love thee".
  8. Thou shall not steal
    "All shall belong to thee".
  9. Thou shall not bear false witness.
"The power to witness My creation shall be thine".
  10. Thou shall not covert they neighbor’s wife or thy neighbors goods.
"The universe shall never question thy will and all goods shall come to thee."
