Fort Smith, Arkansas - Federal prosecutors say a Nevada sex offender was arrested at a warehouse associated with the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries.
Jonathon Patrick Curry faces a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. U.S. Assistant Attorney Christopher Plumlee told The Associated Press that Curry was arrested at a Fort Smith warehouse owned by the ministry of the jailed evangelist. Authorities had been actively looking for Curry.
A court affidavit by an FBI agent says Curry had a sign on a room at the warehouse reading "Keep Out Jon Curry's Rm."
Alamo, 74, is in jail while awaiting trial on a 10-count federal indictment accusing him of taking young girls across state lines for sex. Alamo has denied the allegations.
