Pakistani authorities deported Osama bin Laden's three widows and his children to Saudi Arabia early today, less than a week before the first anniversary of the U.S. raid that killed the al-Qaida leader in his hideout.
Once outside Pakistan, the wives may be willing to share information they have about how bin Laden managed to evade capture in the country for nearly a decade following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Meanwhile, the U.S. issued a fresh security warning Thursday to Americans in Pakistan, saying its employees would be restricted from restaurants and markets in the capital, Islamabad, for the next two weeks. It didn't say why, but the period covers the anniversary of the raid.
