Mauston, Wisconsin - A Necedah woman accused of harming her children by leaving a decaying corpse in a bathroom for two months is scheduled for a competency hearing this morning.
A judge this month ordered that 35-year-old Tammy Lewis undergo a mental evaluation.
She and 57-year-old Alan Bushey each face two counts of causing mental harm to a child.
Lewis' two children, ages 12 and 15, allegedly lived with her in the home where 90-year-old Alvina Middlesworth died in early March.
The criminal complaint says Bushey advised Lewis to leave the body in the bathroom, saying he had signs from God she would come back to life if they prayed hard enough.
The children are in foster care.
Bushey has a preliminary scheduled for Thursday.
